What We Collect
New Haven Navigator does not collect personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any identifying details.
Chat Conversations
Chat conversations with the AI assistant are stored only on your device (in your browser's local storage). They are never sent to our servers or stored in any database. You can clear your chat history at any time by clicking the "New" button in the chat window.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous page view data (which pages are visited and how often). This data cannot identify individual users and contains no personal information.
Cookies
We use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your language preference and any resources you save or track. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.
Third-Party Services
The AI chat assistant uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic for processing but are not stored by Anthropic or used for training. Maps are powered by OpenStreetMap.
Children
This service is designed for adults seeking social services. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
