Christ-centered outreach center on East Street serving free breakfast and lunch to anyone in need, six days a week. The center also runs an 18-month live-in recovery program for adult men, Christian sober houses in the New Haven area, and Christian 12-step meetings, and operates as a city warming center in cold weather.

How to Get Help

Walk in for a meal, no appointment or paperwork needed. For the live-in recovery program or a sober house bed, call (475) 238-4142. For anything else, including whether the warming center is open, call (203) 909-9194.

Before you go

  • Breakfast and lunch are free and served to anyone in need. There is no meal on Sunday.
  • The 18-month live-in recovery program is for adult men 18 and older. Call (475) 238-4142 to ask about a bed.
  • The live-in program has a set fee, but the center says inability to pay is not a deterrent to service. Call and ask.
  • This is a Christian ministry. The live-in program includes Bible study and Christian 12-step meetings.
  • The center runs as a city warming center in cold weather. Call (203) 909-9194 to check whether it is open tonight.
