AI assistant
The chat assistant uses artificial intelligence to help you find resources. It only recommends services from our database, but its responses may not always be perfect. Use your judgment and verify information directly.
Text messages (SMS)
Text delivery is active through NHV Navigator SMS Line, the texting service operated by New Haven Navigator.
We send text messages only when you request them. Website opt-in and phone-hotline verbal consent are live. On the hotline, the assistant reads the full disclosure on our Texting page and requires an explicit yes before sending to the mobile number the caller is using. Two-way operational SMS support is available in English and Spanish only. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier. Frequency is limited to the resource message you ask for plus, at most, one follow-up. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. Consent is not required to use the hotline. We will not sell or share your number, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
